Worship with Us

We deeply desire that our worship gatherings (Sundays, 5:00 pm) creatively engage the heart, mind & senses. Five words summarize the vision for our worship gatherings.

  • Simple.  Not confusing or pretentious, but straightforward and understandable.
  • Creative. Our home is one of the most creative and eclectic communities in Indianapolis, and we welcome artistic expression! We want to to be imaginative and inventive, not dull or boring.
  • Authentic. We desire that our worship be truly genuine, real, and coming from our hearts.  This isn't a show or a performance. We come to God as we are – flawed – and enter into His presence. 
  • Intelligent.  Content matters. We want to dig into God's Word and truly present truth in a rational, sensible and thought-provoking way.
  • Inspired. We want God to be the center of our gatherings.  No matter how hard we plan, rehearse or creatively present content, no one will be challenged or transformed unless God's Spirit is present. We desire that you truly meet with God by participating in our worship. 

What is the music like?

The music is upbeat and exciting. (We have some amazing rockin' musicians leading us.)  But, we also have times of silence and contemplation, where you can set aside the distractions around you an truly re-focus.

What should I wear?

God looks at our hearts, so it really doesn't matter what you wear.  Most of us are totally casual, although you might also see some a little more dressed up. 

Will there be a place for kids?

Yes!  We value children as members of our community and welcome kids 3-12 to the first part of our gatherings. After that, caring adult volunteers present biblical truth to them in age-appropriate classes. Nursery care (ages 0-36 months) is available throughout the gathering.  Learn more about Village Kids.
