Serve the Community

We’re a church in Broad Ripple, committed to meeting the physical and spiritual needs of our community. We seek to join in where God is already at work in order to demonstrate our faith in Christ and to help those in need. But it doesn't stop there. We believe that through giving to others, we ourselves will experience the amazing joy of a greater commitment to Jesus.

We seek to follow the example of Jesus as we open our eyes to the needs around us. Village Life members tutor students at the local elementary school (Eliza A. Blaker IPS School 55). By providing friendship and mentoring as well as academic help, our caring adults strive to develop long-term relationships with at-risk youth.

Several times a year we give tangible help with community work days - painting, weeding, and cleaning Broad Ripple United Methodist Church. We also want our neighborhood be successful economically. Partnering with the Broad Ripple Village Association, our people collect trash to help beautify Broad Ripple several times a year. (We also provide a free lunch afterwards to volunteers).

Interested in joining us as we serve the community? Could you give an hour each week to mentoring a child? Want to serve shoulder-to-shoulder to clean up the community? We’re always looking for new ways and fresh approaches to serve those around us. Contact with ideas or to volunteer.
