djPastor Don & Joanne Beachy

Email

Starting Village Life Church in Broad Ripple is a dream come true for Don, who spent 12 years in pastoral ministry at Faith Church. Don is excited to use his gifts of leadership and preaching (and playing electric guitar) in a more regular capacity. Don holds degrees from the University of Cincinnati (B.A. 1989 and M.A. 1990) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div. 1999). He likes a good book, a good band, and good times home with his wife, Joanne, and their three sons.

caChang & Angel Ho

Chang is an elder at Village Life. He and his wife, Angel, moved to Indianapolis for Chang to complete his residency in 2000. He is now a Neuro-Radiologist with Indiana University. Chang will lead Community Service initiatives at Village Life as well as spend time with students. Heard of airsoft gaming? Chang’s our official (airsoft) arms dealer!  Angel is active in administrative and hospitality ministries, and also likes hanging out with students. They have one daughter, Maddie, who was born in 2010.

bjBrad & Jennifer Smith

Brad has been an elder for several years before joining Village Life. He’s an IT consultant for Lilly and likes all types of technology (especially if it has a little apple on it). Brad runs sound for the worship band. Jennifer writes and designs all the communication materials for Village Life. Brad & Jennifer have three preschool aged children, Isaac, Linnea and Ellie.

Ministry Leaders

willbw Will Johnson, Worship

Will is passionate about developing authentic worship through music. He’s graduating from Greenville College with a degree in Worship Arts and will be pursuing a master’s degree in music. Originally from north of Chicago, he interned at Faith Church before joining the Village Life team. Will loves leading others in pursuing God through worship, and leads a weekly Vespers worship service on campus. He also enjoys playing electric guitar with the Jake Brothers band.

nkNick & Kendra Carter, Life Groups

The Carters are passionate about adults connecting to each other and finding a place of service in the church! Nick enjoys teaching God's Word and authors the Life Group content each week. Kendra is gifted in hospitality and administration and helps Village Life by planning events for folks to get to know each other better. The Carters have one daughter, Keziah.

maynorKyle & Kasey Maynor, Financial Administrators

Kyle and Kasey take care of all the day-to-day financial responsibilities of Village Life. (In fact, the Maynors are the only ones who know the details of your giving to Village Life!) Kyle works in IT, and Kasey is a part-time accountant. Their daughter, Addison, was born in 2010. When not paying Village Life bills, the Maynors enjoy sports, exercise and going to the beach. (Unfortunately, the beach is quite a drive from Indianapolis!)

drDoug & Robyn Thornton, Village Kids & Life Groups

Robyn coordinates children's ministry at Village Life, and Doug leads Life Groups, which is the epicenter of adult ministry. Doug and Robyn love kids!  They've been involved in children's ministry for many years before joining Village Life. God has blessed them with eight children of their own ranging in age from 8 to 27 as well as one delightful granddaughter. The Thorntons have been home educating their children for 19 years and have also coordinated and served in a variety of kids programs outside of church. They are big sports fans, and a number of these programs have been sports-related.
